1. Give your AC a break and come relax in ours!
2. A refreshing signature drink upon arrival!
3. Indoor pictures …. Pose for pictures on our grand staircase and in our beautiful foyer!
4. Try a fashionable sun umbrella for pictures in our romantic photo garden! Don’t forget the sun block!
5. Our bridal suites and photo garden always have cold beverages available on your wedding day!
6. Schedule a tour with a wedding event specialist!
7. Come in and bond with your Maitre ‘D
8. Sandals approved!
9. Don’t let the heat be the only thing sizzling…wear a sleek and simple summer dress!
10. And finally… A mini ice cream cone or two is a sure way to beat the heat! They are my favorite!

Congratulations Natalia and Hasher on your wedding!

Sooo Stylish .....

07/13/2010
One thing I love about my job is watching the bride’s style shine through on their wedding day. It’s amazing to see how each bride makes their dress their own. This past weekend we celebrated the marriages of Wiktoria & Patrick and Leeanne & Anthony …. Both of our brides gorgeously shined and boy did they own their dresses!!!

Leeanne’s wedding style was classic, chic and beautiful. Check out her timeless style below…

Where as, Wiktoria’s wedding style was rock-n-roll, fun, and glamorous. Wiktoria told me she was going for the Madonna look and she nailed it! Check out the pictures below …

Congratulations to the newlyweds! Leanne and Wiktoria....I love your styles!!

Let The Fireworks Begin ...

07/06/2010
This past July 4th the fireworks weren’t the only things giving off sparks….Our newlyweds were too, when they said, “I do”. Camille and Steven got married on-site and had a very “cool” idea! The couple turned their programs into fans! Danielle and I loved them from the second Steven dropped them off! We spoke with Camille and she said her graphic designer designed the fan programs just like her invitations! I took pictures for you to see a cute way to beat the heat!

The adorable program fans!….Informative and refreshing!
(the front is above and below is the back)

Congratulations Camille and Steven. We wish you a lifetime full of fireworks!

Check out how beautiful our romantic photo garden is this year! I think the flowers are even fuller than they were last year…and I didn’t think that was possible!

Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot....

07/01/2010
We had a blast here this past bright and sunny summer weekend! We celebrated the marriage of two wonderful couples, a baby shower and an 18th birthday party!

Our first wedding reception was on Friday. Our newlyweds, Lynn and Slawomir came ready to celebrate after their ceremony. The couple had the cutest favors…..mini trees (that kind of reminded me of palm trees) for all guests! I love the Go Green favors that are out! Not only is it a memory but its planting a lot of goodness into our environment!

The newlyweds arriving! Look how cute….the flower girls helping the bride!

The Go Green Favors! Love them!

On Sunday we celebrated the marriage of Melissa and Peter. This was a cultural affair and the pictures are amazing like the couple. The newlyweds got married on-site and transformed our garden room to suit their backgrounds. I took a bunch of pictures before and during the ceremony to show you!

Rangoli took care of the cultural touches to our ceremony room.

Also just want to say….Congratulations Ayden’s Mom!!!
And hope you had fabulous 18th birthday!!

Setting the Mood...

06/23/2010
This past weekend our newlyweds, Jennifer and Anthony, brought their reception to life! The couple decided to add up lighting to the ballroom for a completely different effect. The up lighting was strategically placed around the room to complement the beautiful ballroom with a “touch of red.” I thought it looked awesome!! Check out the picture I took below for you to see it for yourself. Congratulations Jennifer and Anthony!

Our Grand ballroom with a hint of red

Thinking about adding up lighting to your wedding? Imagine the moment…We open the doors to your ballroom and your guests walk into to gorgeous color splashed up against the walls. Jennifer and Anthony, like many brides and grooms, are hip to the trend! Up lighting is designed to enhance the charm of your setting. It’s about setting the mood and the right look for an amazing reception! To learn more about up lighting talk to your DJ!

Peachy Keen...

06/16/2010
This weekend we celebrated the marriage of Celiman and Naldo. The newlyweds choose a peach themed wedding including peach napkins, bows, and flowers. The celebration started off by greeting all of their guests with a signature cocktail. The cocktail was a traditional peach martini re-named as the “Explosion of Love!” Congratulations Celiman and Naldo! We wish you a lifetime that’s as sweet as a peach!!!

The Best of Today....

06/05/2010
This day is too beautiful for words or prose,
In the attempts of attaining bliss one cannot compose.
As family gathers here to view love completely,
In this moment we can hold nothing more sweetly.
Though laughter is spurned at individual tables and seats,
All are connected in the strength of two heartbeats.
The best of times are still yet to be realized true,
As they are in all the future sunrises, each morning dew.

This beautiful poem was given out to all the guests of our newlyweds, Angela and Robert. The lovely couple said “I Do” this past Memorial Day weekend! Talk about a way to start summer!!! The couple also supplied baskets of flip flops for all they ladies with a really cute poem attached to the baskets…

Don’t let heels make your feet sore
Grab a pair and hit the dance floor
Then bring them home and enjoy some more!

Congratulations Angela and Rob! The best of times are still yet to come!!!

Meet and Greet ...

05/26/2010
This weekend our newlyweds, Michelle and Robert wanted to take pictures prior to saying “I Do”. So we arranged a “Meet and Greet” on our grand staircase. I think one of the best things about a “Meet and Greet” is having your photographer capture that special first glance moment! WOW! Talk about the pictures! See the pictures below that we took for you to see how powerful a “Meet and Greet” can be! So brides-to-be, if your not set on surprising your fiancé walking down the aisle…a “Meet and Greet” is something for your to consider. To learn more about a “Meet and Greet” feel free to call us at 732.549.2859!

May Flowers ...

05/18/2010
This past weekend we celebrated the marriage of Jeanne and Thomas. The couple choose a plum themed wedding with champagne toast, a cake full of flowers, napkins, reception cards and a sash…. All in different shades of PLUM! (See the pictures below)
Congratulations Jeanne and Thomas!

Jeanne let me snap a quick picture of her before her grand entrance!

This weekend we also hosted a graduation party for Samara! Her mother, Lilly, made awesome D.I.Y. centerpieces! We supplied the glass vases for her daughter’s event and she did the rest! Great job Lilly on the centerpieces! I loved them and Best of luck Samara on your next adventure!

Busy as a Bee...

05/09/2010
We are always up to something exciting here at The Rosewood. This past week we celebrated the marriage of Regina and Stanley (check out the awesome picture below), got new centerpieces for our cocktail hour tables, and joined facebook! Yes…you read that right! You can find us now on facebook! Become a Rosewood fan and explore all the pictures I just posted while staying up to date!

Regina and Stanley sharing a special moment! So in love!
I also want to share a couple pictures of our ATM Sweet Sixteen bash we had here a few weeks ago! It was called ATM because three best friends came together to have the party of the year for their 16th birthday and all their friends! Angela, Taylor and Michelle choose a candy land theme for their party …with each table’s centerpiece representing a different candy, lollipops for seating cards, cookie favors and a candy bar!
The beautiful birthday girls! Happy Sweet 16!!!!!!!!!!

To Love and Be Loved...

04/28/2010
This past weekend our newlyweds, Mariola and Adam touched everyone’s lives in a special way…. Instead of placing cameras on each table, the couple placed picture frames on each table! Each picture frame had its very own love/marriage quote from greats like Aristotle to movies like “When Harry Met Sally”. I thought it was such a cute and catchy idea! Prior to their reception I found myself walking from table to table reading each frame! See the picture below of how Mariola and Adam presented each quote! Here are some of my favorites….

“To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides.” David Viscott

“For two people in a marriage to live together day after day is unquestionably the one miracle the Vatican has overlooked.” Bill Cosby

“When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.” When Harry Met Sally

“To keep your marriage brimming with love in the wedding cup, Whenever you’re wrong, admit it, Whenever you’re right, shut up.” Ogden Nash

“Two souls with but a single thought, two hearts that beat as one.” Franz Joseph von Munch-Bellinghausen

The newlyweds also made dessert a real treat with a cupcake wedding cake and Adam’s mom made 2,000 home-made cookies in addition to a candy bar and fondue station! It was a dessert extravaganza!

Congratulations to the “sweetest” couple, Mariola and Adam!

Here's to the Red, White and Blue...

04/21/2010
This Saturday or newlywed’s Danielle and Bill celebrated their love for each other along with their love for our country. Both the bride and the groom have served our country in the military and choose to fill their wedding with traditions like a POW/MIA table, a blessing with wine, bread & salt, and danced the tarantella. Check out some of the pictures I took below:

Danielle and Bill even added little American flags to their seating cards!

Love is Patient, Love is Kind...

04/14/2010
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,
It keeps no record of wrongs. Loved does not delight evil
But rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails….
And now these three remain:
Faith, Hope and Love.

But the greatest of these is love.
This beautiful saying was on the wedding ceremony program for our newlyweds, Felica and Walter, this past weekend. The couple got married on-site and I thought the program really set the tone for their first evening as husband and wife!

The couple also let me take a few pictures while they were being photographed!
Check them out below!

Rain, Rain, Go Away...

03/16/2010
This past weekend it was absolutely miserable outside, but our newly weds Jacqui and Daniel were shining! I loved the Go-Green favors the Jacqui and Daniel selected! They were blue spruce seedlings with a little card saying “Thank you for sharing our growing memories!” After falling head over heals for these favors….I did some research of my own! You can get Go-Green favors just like our newly weds, locally! Not only did the website I found offer trees, but they also offered flowers with a variety of meanings! If you want to learn more about my research…give me a call at 732.549.2859! I’m Julie again…the Wedding Event Specialist that brings you our weekly blog!

Congratulations Jacqui and Daniel! I’m so happy for the two you!

Look how gorgeous the cake was!

The Luck of the Irish...

03/11/2010
What a unique weekend we had here at The Rosewood, with our newlyweds, Margaret and Richard! The couple infused their wedding day with tons of personality and their heritage. Since the groom plays trumpet for The World Famous Gashouse Gang….He actually had his band play with him at the reception! Not only did the band play, but also Margaret and 40 other trumpeters joined in! I thought it was cool! In addition, our Irish newlyweds started celebrating St. Patty’s Day early with Irish flag M&M centerpieces for cocktail hour and a shamrock wedding cake!! I hope Margaret and Richard find a pot of gold at the end of all their rainbows!

Richard, the groom, playing the trumpet!

Within the next week or so I should have a picture of all 40 trumpeters...So as soon as I get it, I will definitely share it with you!

Pop open the bubbly….

03/02/2010
Nothing says its time to celebrate more, than popping open a bottle of champagne, especially on your wedding day. This weekend our newlyweds, Shannon and Kevin, sure did know how to keep a celebration going! Not only did they raise their glasses, but they gave all their guests mini champagne bottles as favors! Which I think is a great way for all your guests to reminisce over all the fun memories they had at your wedding…when they pop open your bubbly favor. Cheers to Shannon and Kevin! We wish you a lifetime full of celebrations!

Be my Valentine…

02/18/2010
If he popped the big question this weekend, be happy to know you’re in good company! Statistically, they say an average of 2.3 million couples get engaged a year in the United States alone and 10% of those engagements are on Valentine’s Day! I think the coolest thing about that is…of those 230,000 engagements; each and every one of them is unique and special even though they are all on the same day! Due to the fact that the two of you now have a life long story of how he asked you to spend the rest of his life with you. (Not to mention…it is his chance to show everyone how much your future husband really loves you!) Congratulations to all the couples that got engaged this weekend! I’ll see you soon…

Our Super Bowl Delight...

02/11/2010
This past weekend we had to switch our Afternoon Delight tasting and tour to Super Bowl Sunday because of the huge snowfall we had on Saturday! Even with the all the game preparations…we had a great turn out and time! The Afternoon Delight gave our future brides and grooms a chance to try an array of hors d'oeurves and sweets, tour the facility and get answer to all their questions all in one day! Not only is it fun for them….But it is a blast for us too! I love being able to show my bride and grooms the endless number of possibilities we can offer.

Thank you for a wonderful afternoon to everyone that joined in all fun. And to those that missed out…We do this every couple of months! Yay!

Part of the sweet ending to the Afternoon Delight! (The heart shaped cookies that are dipping in chocolate. These yummy cookies are part of the Good Night Station in our wedding packages!)

Out and About!

02/03/2010
This weekend I worked The Rosewood table at the Brookdale Community College Bridal Show by Wedding-Set-Go. There is always so much energy at the shows…from all the brides to be, the photographers, the DJs, bands and facilities… just like us. I had a great time partnering up with our sister facility, The English Manor. We served delicious cannoli filled wedding cake and our traditional dark Belgium chocolate fondue. (It looked so good…I couldn’t even resist sampling a little! And let me tell you...it was yummy!)

We had a great turn out and a great afternoon! Thank you to all the brides that stopped by our table. I look forward to meeting you further this Saturday for your Afternoon Delight tasting and tour. And for all the brides that couldn’t make the show…We have a couple of appointments left for this Saturday, February 6th! If you are interested, give us a call ASAP!

Check out the pictures from the show below!

How lucky we are to have flower girl and ring bearers who are cute in every way…

01/28/2010
This weekend we celebrated Sandra and William becoming husband and wife! The couple had got married on site and truly made it an affair to be remembered by all! Not only did all the grown-ups have a blast, but so did all the kids! There is something so adorable about little boys and girl all dressed up watching a fantasy becoming reality.

Congratulations Sandra and William! May laughter and love fill your lives together!

I couldn’t pass up showing some of the cute kids from this week…that inspired this blog!

Many couple’s have to make a decision to include children in a wedding reception…and it is a very personal one! To me, weddings are a wonderful opportunity to share and celebrate with family, friends and children. I think kids add a special sense of innocence, humor, and joy to everyone’s wedding day. And they also make for some great picture opportunities!

Here are some of the cutest kids that are sure to make anyone smile!

OMG...I'm Engaged!

01/20/2010
Everyone knows a wedding is much more that just one event and what better to kick them all off than an Engagement Party!!! I think having an engagement party is a fun way to announce your engagement to your nearest and dearest friends! Also it is a great opportunity for everyone to meet each other prior to your shower and wedding. You can throw an engagement BBQ in your backyard with a flag football game or get all dressed up and have a cocktail party…. there are no rules to what an engagement party should be! So grab your fiancé and start celebrating “being engaged!” Just like our newly engaged couple did this weekend! Congratulations to Kim and Allan! I wish you both a lifetime full of happiness!

Dancing Shoes Beat the Winter Blues...

01/13/2010
The lights are lowered and all our guests surround the dance floor, as you take the floor together for your first dance. The music starts, you’re finally in his arms and your gliding together as one! All your planning has paid off and you have a few precious moments with no interruptions to be with your husband until the reception is over.

So many brides are nervous during this momentous occasion because everyone is involved and watching…. however your first dance is a celebration and should be savored. When that moment approaches don’t let your jitters ruin the moment…just take a deep breath and know you will be safe in your husband’s arms. This is your moment! Your day!! Enjoy every second of it! While I get to enjoy every second of watching! I absolutely love the first dance!

Carmen and William shared their first dance this past weekend!

The newlyweds also selected a really CUTE cake topper!!

12/27/2009
As 2009 makes way for 2010...here is to all the joyful memories it is leaving behind!

I just wanted to say thank you to all the brides and grooms that shared their wedding pictures with me in 2009. Even though I just shared a few, all of them were unique, gorgeous and full of love!

Cheers to a brand New Year!
