Pop open the bubbly….03/02/2010Nothing says its time to celebrate more, than popping open a bottle of champagne, especially on your wedding day. This weekend our newlyweds, Shannon and Kevin, sure did know how to keep a celebration going! Not only did they raise their glasses, but they gave all their guests mini champagne bottles as favors! Which I think is a great way for all your guests to reminisce over all the fun memories they had at your wedding…when they pop open your bubbly favor. Cheers to Shannon and Kevin! We wish you a lifetime full of celebrations! The mini Champagne favor Shannon’s Touch of “Something Blue” The detail on their wedding cake in amazing! Be my Valentine…02/18/2010If he popped the big question this weekend, be happy to know you’re in good company! Statistically, they say an average of 2.3 million couples get engaged a year in the United States alone and 10% of those engagements are on Valentine’s Day! I think the coolest thing about that is…of those 230,000 engagements; each and every one of them is unique and special even though they are all on the same day! Due to the fact that the two of you now have a life long story of how he asked you to spend the rest of his life with you. (Not to mention…it is his chance to show everyone how much your future husband really loves you!) Congratulations to all the couples that got engaged this weekend! I’ll see you soon… Our Super Bowl Delight...02/11/2010This past weekend we had to switch our Afternoon Delight tasting and tour to Super Bowl Sunday because of the huge snowfall we had on Saturday! Even with the all the game preparations…we had a great turn out and time! The Afternoon Delight gave our future brides and grooms a chance to try an array of hors d'oeurves and sweets, tour the facility and get answer to all their questions all in one day! Not only is it fun for them….But it is a blast for us too! I love being able to show my bride and grooms the endless number of possibilities we can offer. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon to everyone that joined in all fun. And to those that missed out…We do this every couple of months! Yay!
Out and About!02/03/2010This weekend I worked The Rosewood table at the Brookdale Community College Bridal Show by Wedding-Set-Go. There is always so much energy at the shows…from all the brides to be, the photographers, the DJs, bands and facilities… just like us. I had a great time partnering up with our sister facility, The English Manor. We served delicious cannoli filled wedding cake and our traditional dark Belgium chocolate fondue. (It looked so good…I couldn’t even resist sampling a little! And let me tell you...it was yummy!) We had a great turn out and a great afternoon! Thank you to all the brides that stopped by our table. I look forward to meeting you further this Saturday for your Afternoon Delight tasting and tour. And for all the brides that couldn’t make the show…We have a couple of appointments left for this Saturday, February 6th! If you are interested, give us a call ASAP! Check out the pictures from the show below! How lucky we are to have flower girl and ring bearers who are cute in every way…01/28/2010This weekend we celebrated Sandra and William becoming husband and wife! The couple had got married on site and truly made it an affair to be remembered by all! Not only did all the grown-ups have a blast, but so did all the kids! There is something so adorable about little boys and girl all dressed up watching a fantasy becoming reality. Congratulations Sandra and William! May laughter and love fill your lives together! I couldn’t pass up showing some of the cute kids from this week…that inspired this blog!
![]() OMG...I'm Engaged!01/20/2010Everyone knows a wedding is much more that just one event and what better to kick them all off than an Engagement Party!!! I think having an engagement party is a fun way to announce your engagement to your nearest and dearest friends! Also it is a great opportunity for everyone to meet each other prior to your shower and wedding. You can throw an engagement BBQ in your backyard with a flag football game or get all dressed up and have a cocktail party…. there are no rules to what an engagement party should be! So grab your fiancé and start celebrating “being engaged!” Just like our newly engaged couple did this weekend! Congratulations to Kim and Allan! I wish you both a lifetime full of happiness! Dancing Shoes Beat the Winter Blues...01/13/2010The lights are lowered and all our guests surround the dance floor, as you take the floor together for your first dance. The music starts, you’re finally in his arms and your gliding together as one! All your planning has paid off and you have a few precious moments with no interruptions to be with your husband until the reception is over. So many brides are nervous during this momentous occasion because everyone is involved and watching…. however your first dance is a celebration and should be savored. When that moment approaches don’t let your jitters ruin the moment…just take a deep breath and know you will be safe in your husband’s arms. This is your moment! Your day!! Enjoy every second of it! While I get to enjoy every second of watching! I absolutely love the first dance! Carmen and William shared their first dance this past weekend! The newlyweds also selected a really CUTE cake topper!! And congratulations to all the lucky ladies whose gift was a diamond this holiday season! I look forward to meeting you! *Quote from Nora Ephron, When Harry Met Sally Tis the Season to be Married...12/17/2009Hello, my name is Julie and I am also a Wedding Event Specialist for The Rosewood. This weekend I experienced my first winter wonderland wedding. Christmas was in the air, the foyer and ballroom were all spruced up and our newlyweds were married…on site! I knew Mr. and Mrs. Kciuk really thought of every detail, when I saw individual packages of tissues on each chair, in the ceremony room, saying Joyful Tears. Lisa and Joe (our bride and groom) also surprised their guests’ with candy cane escort cards that led them to our Rose Ballroom; where they found the most adorable Christmas ball ornaments that held there place cards. But this was only the beginning of their Christmas story. Their florist, Claus (Yes! That really is the florist’s name!), decked the head table with mini Christmas trees, bright red poinsettias and a holiday wreath. When I walked into the Rose ballroom all that glittered was Lisa’s gorgeous ring and the snow topped Cake Boss cake! (See the picture below!) This warm holiday romance was just what I needed to welcome the most wonderful time of the year! 12/05/2009 Hello, and Welcome to The Rosewood’s Blog…a new addition to our website. My name is Danielle and I am one of the Rosewood’s Wedding Event Specialists. We are really excited about the upcoming holidays. Even if you are not ready for the holiday season, when you walk into our building you will be. Patty, our Maitre'd, has been decorating our foyer with the most elegant Christmas tree of Burgundy and Gold ribbon. This weekend we are looking forward to our very first Winter Wonderland Wedding. Lisa and Joe will be getting married on Sunday in our beautiful indoor Garden Room. They came to visit today and practiced their first ballroom dance. A lot of our couples like to practice and I am honored they let me watch. I can’t wait to tell you all about their reception next week. Oops, gotta go… phones are ringing and Christmas parties are starting. This is such a fun time of year! Danielle |
